Pots to the rescue!
I thought that my two Dark Horse weigelas didn't make it through the winter, but there was a bit of new growth. They are a lot smaller than when I planted them. Until they catch up in size, that part of the border looked a bit sparce, so pretty pots fill in .
Baptista
This beautiful plant will grow to be about 6 feet across. The flowers are pea-like. I was surprised that it bloomed so well this year, since they take a bit of time to get established and this one was planted last summer.

Bachelor buttons
This is some nepeta (catmint) and a perennial bachelor button. Soon the yarrow will bloom and add some yellow to this grouping.

Front garden
I decided that this year the front garden would have purple annuals.
They will contrast well with the golden foliage of the spireas.

The veggie garden is planted and I planted white alysum around the
border of the rose garden.

New bleeding heart
I confess - I took this picture a while ago - the hosta in the foreground is huge now! Last summer, I spotted this new bleeding heart with golden foliage and I just had to have one - it shows off beautifully agains the Technito arborvitae in the background.
Update on my roses - they are not all lost, as I thought. Most of them are sending up leaves, and although they might be a bit small this year, they are still alive!
My veggie garden has been weeded and we added compost, so it is ready to be planted!
The mulch has been removed from the new cutting garden and it has been tilled. I think I need to add some more organic material before I start planting.
Tulips
This is my first post from my cell phone!! I bought this container of tulips and put it in my planter. When the tulips are done blooming, I'll take it out and plant it in the ground. Some violas around the edges -hmm, a few pussy willows would have been a nice addition - maybe next year!
